Volunteers are an important part of Mindfull Aus and are at the very core of helping support meaningful conversations on these beautiful, but sometimes difficult edges of love and life. To become a volunteer at Mindfull Aus it is not always imperative to be qualified or experience in mental health – we look for people who have compassion for those experiencing mental ill-health and the time to give to make a difference in the lives of those in their community.

Application for all Mindfull Aus volunteers are now through electronic application via our website with the link provided below.
Prospective volunteers will be notified via email when a new volunteer position is listed or a potential to further be involved in other Mindfull Aus initiatives.
Mindfull Aus offers volunteers the opportunity to further their involvement with the organisation by being facilitators, speakers, trainers and staff within our administration.
At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished… it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back

New Job - Program Coordinator
Mindfull Australia is seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Coordinator to lead our Healthier Hearts & Lighter Minds Program. This role is crucial in driving our mission to promote mental and emotional well-being among parents, students, and teachers across the community. The Program Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to enhance our program’s reach and impact, ensuring that we deliver engaging and effective sessions that resonate with our audience.
At Mindfull Australia, you’ll be part of a dynamic team committed to making a difference in the community. Your work will directly contribute to the mental well-being of parents, students, and teachers, helping to create a healthier, more supportive environment for all.
Required Skills to work with Mindfull Aus
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact and work harmoniously with others, while being prepared to take on individual responsibilities.
Ability to develop, implement and review processes and procedures.
Ability to oversee and manage direct and remote staff
Excellent communication written and verbal
Excellent relationship building
Strong organisational, administration, and coordination skills
Preferred ability to facilitate content or speak to the heart of our programs.
Preferred but not essential Familiarity with evaluation techniques and data analysis.
Experience Requirements to work with Mindfull Aus
Preferred but not essential Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
Preferred but not essential Experience in program coordination, particularly in health promotion or non-profit sectors.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Qualities Required
A passion to make a difference in the mental health and wellbeing space. More specifically our Youth and those who support them.
Excellent communication skills – you love connecting with people. You’re naturally empathetic and compassionate and enjoy dealing with all kinds of people and personalities.
Strong time management, organisation, and administration skills.
A love for being kept busy and handling diverse and multiple tasks.
A strong work ethic that is creative, proactive and service-driven, with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Proficient with technology – you will work with a variety of programs and databases and previous experience with Emails, Microsoft 365 (all programs) is essential.
An openness to learn and grow, personally and professionally.

Healthier Hearts & Lighter Minds Facilitator
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of primary school students? We’re seeking fun, relatable, and engaging facilitators to join our team for the Healthier Hearts & Lighter Minds program. This initiative focuses on helping students understand their emotions and the importance of mental well-being. If you love working with kids and want to be part of a rewarding experience, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities of a Facilitator.
Facilitate interactive sessions that promote social-emotional learning without the use of Powerpoint’s, in a high energy setting using Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic Learning.
Create a safe and engaging environment for students to express their feelings.
Use creative activities and games to teach concepts related to emotional health and well-being.
Collaborate with a team of facilitators to deliver consistent and impactful programming.
Provide feedback and contribute to program development based on student engagement and outcomes.
Experience or Qualifications.
Experience working with children, particularly in an educational or recreational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to relate to students and make learning enjoyable.
Knowledge of social-emotional learning concepts is a plus, but not mandatory.
Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis in various school locations.
MUST HAVE Working with Children’s Check & Car Licence.
