Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health First Aid training programs are becoming increasingly popular as people recognize the importance of addressing mental health issues in their communities.
These programs teach individuals how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, provide initial support to someone in crisis, and refer them to appropriate professional help.
Mental Health First Aid training programs are designed for anyone who wants to learn how to respond to mental health crises, including healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, employers, and members of the general public. The goal of these programs is to increase awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues, while equipping people with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide effective support and care to those in need.

What is Mental Health First Aid Training? (MHFA)
MHFA courses teach mental health first aid strategies to members of the public. MHFA is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis. Course content is derived from a number of consensus studies incorporating the expertise of hundreds of researchers, clinicians, mental health consumer advocates and carer advocates across the English speaking western world.

Mental health in the workplace.
No doubt, you're already thinking about how you can create a mentally healthy workplace.
You are not alone; more and more workplaces are realising the impact of mental health problems at work on their people and productivity.
Encouraging early help-seeking is one way to promote a mentally healthy workplace. This is where Mental Health First Aid can help.
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training course which gives your employees the skills and confidence to have supportive conversations with their co-workers and help guide them to professional help if needed. It has been shown to increase knowledge, confidence and helping behaviours, and reduce stigma.
Designed for workplaces that require increased flexibility in the delivery of training for their staff members, the Blended Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace course is a combination of online (eLearning) and a half day of follow-on face-to-face training.
The course teaches managers, supervisors and individuals how to assist a co-worker who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. However course participants will learn mental health first aid skills that can be applied to help any adult. Course content is tailored to the workplace setting using case-studies, videos and resources tailored to their learning needs.
Course participants first complete the interactive self-paced eLearning component that presents an overview of mental health problems and mental health crises. The follow-on face-to-face training allows participants the opportunity to revise and consolidate skills in a group environment, and to address mental health problems in the workplace in more depth.
